Ollie is a photographic artist whose work explores the unstable space between seeing and recognising. Through light, surface, abstraction and fragments of the everyday, familiar subjects are allowed to become uncertain.

His photographs often move between clarity and ambiguity: an object may dissolve into colour or shadow, while an ordinary surface can begin to resemble landscape, skin or an unfamiliar terrain. Rather than documenting subjects in a conventional sense, the work is concerned with how perception changes when context is reduced or removed.

Across series including Hypo- / Hypercognition and Unstable Ground, Ollie is interested in the point at which an image stops being simply a record of something and becomes something to be interpreted.

Ollie is based in Sydney, Australia. His practice centres on fine-art photography and explores perception, ambiguity and the transformation of ordinary environments through close observation.
